Edward W. Swanson holds a Bachelorís of Science Degree in Economics from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY.
Upon graduation, he embarked upon a career in public service with the State of New York.† While ascending the management ranks at the State, Ed attained a Masterís of Science Degree in Accounting as well as a Masterís in Public Administration from the State University of New York at Albany.† Although at the management level, he realized he could offer more to his community outside of public service.† Thereupon he became a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor.
After graduation from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law, he was admitted to the New York State Bar and is now in private practice as an Attorney and as a Certified Public Accountant, concentrating in the areas of taxation, real estate, business, estates, and wills.
Edís private practice allows him the freedom to also devote his energies towards helping others by serving as the Area 10 (Albany, Columbia, Rensselaer, and Greene counties) Coordinator for New York Special Olympics.† In addition he served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for the Burnt Hills / Ballston Lake Community Human Services (1990-1996).
